School History

Freedom Elementary School was built in 2012. The school received an addition as part of the 2018 bond referendum. The building occupies a 10-acre site in western West Fargo and has a preferred capacity of 528 and a maximum capacity of 576.

Freedom Elementary School is home to the Freedom Flyers. The school belongs to the Mustang feeder-system; students move on to Liberty Middle School and Sheyenne High School.

The building’s principals have included: Jeffry Johnson (2012 - 2022), Amy Petersen (Interim 2022), and Kimmy Milligan (2023-Present).
