Morning & Afternoon Procedures

Thank you for following the visitor, parking, drop-off and pick-up procedures, all of which are designed for the safety of our children. These procedures were approved by the School Resource Police Officer.

Parking Lot - Drop Off/Pick Procedures

During the school day, all parents and visitors must enter through the main north doors and are required by City Ordinance and West Fargo School District Policy to check-in at the office. Parent and visitor parking is only allowed in the north main parking lot. There is no parking in the main loop from 7:30AM – 3:00PM daily. You may stop to drop off or pick up students.

*NO PARKING—there is no parking allowed in the loading dock area (east side of parking lot by the playground and fence area). This parking area is for staff only and must be kept clear for emergency vehicles, along with allowing kids to safely use the cross walk in that area. If you park in that area, you will be reminded by our School Resource Officer or staff to please move your vehicle.

Arrival Procedures

Bus students will enter the building using the bus loop doors and go to breakfast or to their morning activity. Supervisors will help students.

Drop off students (anyone not riding the school bus) may start arriving at school at 7:30 AM. These students will use the main north doors to enter the building and may go to breakfast or to their morning activity.

Student drop off is the north main parking lot.

We expect parents to use the main loop for drop off. Please do not pull into parking lot by handicap marked area to drop off children as this area is hard for supervisors to view in order to help. Please use the loop process where all kids have safe access to main doors. 

Marked daycare vans are to use the main loop for morning drop off.

Please follow the directions of the supervisor in the main loop (identified by wearing a bright colored vest and Freedom ID helping kids use the crosswalk area). 

Dismissal Procedures

Parents that arrive for pick-up with vehicles or neighborhood walkers are to use the Main Parking lot on north side of school and pull all the way forward in the loop to the far end making as much space as possible for other vehicles and wait in their cars. It does not matter where you are in line, as kids will be brought to you as the line moves forward and cars continue to pull up towards the building. Vehicles may arrive starting at 2:15pm. Those in cars are asked to keep the line moving and as you pull forward roll down your window and look for where your child’s class is waiting so the teacher can send your child to you. If you pick up your child by walking to school from the neighborhood, stand by the bike area to wait for your child and make sure the teacher knows that is where you will be. 

Bussing

Buses will be arriving around 2:10 in the bus loop and park on the right side to wait for dismissal of bus students. Daycare vans will be pulling in behind buses and waiting to pull forward on right side once all buses have left for their routes. 

Walking To School

Students who walk to school should always walk on the sidewalks when possible. Walkers will go straight home.

Riding Bike To School

Students who ride bicycles to school may park them and lock them in the provided bike racks.
